Amazon Fire TV is here!

With cable TV on the decline… and for good reason…Amazon has introduced a competitor into the streaming space and its said to go head to head with Apple TV. The Fire TV's impressive ASAP feature loads Amazon Instant content, well, instantly, and the much-touted voice-search feature actually works pretty well, using a mic built into the remote. Amazon's kid-friendly Free Time subscription service is on its way, too for an extra $3 per month. Amazon has even managed to top Apple and Roku by offering the most extensive gaming experience on a streaming box yet. Now more than ever you have motivation to nix the cable and move to a cable of the times… the lack of one. Services like Netflix and hulu let you have access to all of your favorite TV shows and movies for a small fraction of traditional cable and devices like the Amazon Fire TV brings that action to your television. DIY grapefruit sugar scrub

I have left the lovely mountain side of Phoenix AZ and made my way into the bitter cold of Wisconsin. While it may be spring in some places… Milwaukee WI is not one of them. The quick change in climate and environment has left my skin dry and rough. My lips, hands and feet are taking the hardest hits.  This DIY grapefruit sugar scrub has helped me heal my busted hands and feet, and made my smoochers ready for smooching. keeping me hopeful for warmer days. This recipe makes enough for your lips, hands and feet… twice. I kept my leftovers in the fridge and repeated after a few days. Now my lippies are happy and my feet no longer tear my sheets. When your a little dry… treat your self to some sugar… sugar scrub that is.

Recipe 

1/4 Grapefruit 

1/2 cup Sugar

1 tbs Honey

1 tsp Olive Oil

Directions

Combine the sugar, honey and olive oil into one container. Squeeze the juice from 1 grapefruit wedge into the mixture and stir. The consistency should be grainy and slightly rough. Dip your index finger into the mixture and rub it in small circular motions across both of your lips. Continue rubbing for about 20 seconds making sure not to press too hard, the sugar is grainy enough to exfoliate without added pressure. For your hands and feet put the mixture on liberally and rub it in for around 60 seconds and rinse with warm water. There is no need to wash your hands or feet with soap after this scrub, there is not enough olive oil in the mixture to make it greasy, just enough to moisturize while exfoliating. Enjoy!

Welp, thanks to Jacquie Aiche I have found my summer body motivation. This amazingly delicate piece of jewelry would look amazing draped over a flat tummy with a tiny waist and no trace of back fat. Since my body is nothing like that description… I decided that for this body chain I am willing to change it. The lengths that I will go to for 14K rose gold and diamonds.  Fashion has claimed another victim… at least I can admit it.

Stand back...I just might SHOOT!

I will definitely be performing many drive bye's with this baby. The picture frames, the towel racks and even the hanging mirrors will all be shot. This pink drill gun is the perfect addition to my tool box. The next time the hubby tells me to move out of the way because "he's got this"… I will politely tell him to stand back… I'm going to shoot! The life of a DIY wife just got better!
